This is our last and most challenging stop of the ZaNor trip. To go to the island you need to rent the boat for a booming price or haggle with a local for a fee of about 50 pesos. Good thing that we have our travel friend Liezel with us. She was the one who communicated with the locals and luckily we got a cheap ride going to a very beautiful island of Aliguay.
Another challenge for the trip is the more than ~2hours "buwis buhay" ride. Its is 2 hours under the heat of the sun and big waves splashing in your body. A week before our trip, I saw on the internet that just recently 2 died because they were caught by a big waves. It was just about 15-20 minutes when they left the island. The news frightened us but we still push through with the plan.
The waiting is so worth it. When we had our first glance if the island from afar, my jaw drops. Wow! The sand is so white and I cant wait to get off the boat. We went to the other side of the island as the waves are stronger on the side of the Aliguay Beach Resort.
Our aching butts can't wait to get down he boat. A few steps from the shore is the house of our boatman. There we met his wonderful family, the Dihayco Family.
Unluckily, some of our stuffs got wet. I used my dry bag and so it was just moist. Whew! But our travel friend... her cellphones and other things are soaking wet. We dried up then had our Jollibee Lunch and head off to the beach resort.
